Welcome to Liverpool, Perry County, Pennsylvania
Liverpool is located on the west bank of the Susquehanna River about 30 miles north of Harrisburg, the Pennsylvania State Capital.
Originally laid out in 1808, Liverpool served as a hub of business activity for the Pennsylvania canal through the 1800's. Today, US Routes 11&15 have replaced the Canal as the major north/south transportation artery. Liverpool still hosts many historic buildings and is a bedroom community for the state capital of Harrisburg.
Liverpool offers recreation opportunities that include world class bass fishing in the Susquehanna River, easy access to Little Buffalo State Park, hiking, camping, canoeing and skiing in the Poconos and Pennsylvania Highlands to the north, is close to metropolitan centers of Harrisburg to the south and Williamsport to the north.
Numerous higher education facilities are within commuting distance in the Harrisburg area to the south, to the North in Selinsgrove, Bloomsburg, Lewisburg, Williamsport and Lock Haven.
